Abstract: The Ossetian fairy tale is an archaic layer of Ossetian folklore and may well serve as a mythological source, since, despite the fact that it is a classic fairy tale in structure, non-desacralized mythological elements of various levels of narration have been preserved in it. In the presented fairy tale text the structure of the narration of the fairy tale, descriptions of sacred elements (wonderful objects), and fairy formulas are well preserved.
