Orientations of everyday life, vectors of decision-making are conditioned by worldview. However, how to characterize the worldview of people who lived more than a century ago? While working in the State Archive of Krasnodar Krai (SAKK) we found an inventory of seized items from members of the group “Anarchy” (anarcho-communists). A little less than half of the items in the inventory were books, so we put forward a hypothesis about the significant influence of these publications on the formation of the worldview of the anarcho-communists of Ekaterinodar. In modern Russian society, the ideas of anarchism are not so popular. At the same time, in 2015, the branch of the State Public Historical Library held an exhibition dedicated to Russian anarchism. In public opinion, anarchists are associated with bomb throwers, Nestor Makhno, people destabilizing the social and political situation. However, they also had their own slogans and programs, goals and aspirations; like other people, they built interactions and read books. The need to characterize the anarcho-communists from an unfamiliar side for specialists has determined the relevance of the study. The novelty of the work lies in the fact that no one has previously examined the library complex of anarcho-communists. Moreover, there is not a single mention of its existence in the literature, although the documents of F. 538 of SAKK speak to the contrary. The content of the materials determined the purpose and methodology of the work. The purpose of the study is to trace the formation of the worldview of anarcho-communists of Ekaterinodar through the library of the organization. According to the results of the study, hypotheses were put forward about the importance and choice of those books, which are indicated in the search protocols, on the formation of the worldview of anarcho-communists. It was established that the scope of interests of the group included not only theoretical and methodological works, but also fiction. The complex of books shaped the worldview of the group members, calling them to terror and decisive actions.
