Abstract:
The article is devoted to the study of genre problems of the Ossetian philosophical novel.
The emergence of the genre of the philosophical novel in Ossetian literature in the 70-80s
of the twentieth century, at the stage of mature socialist realism, was due to the objective
development of our society, which required literature to enrich its philosophical and
analytical principles. First of all, in understanding the problems of the historical formation
of man. And this forced her to place at the center of her intense search for the meaning of
life the image of a thinking person, looking for answers to the fundamental problems of
the life of society, a person. Therefore, the genre of the novel combines philosophy, history,
folklore, in particular, epic and literature. The basis of the Ossetian philosophical novel is
the national myth, which contains universal values in an ethno-national-specific form. The
properties of myth are to explore the essence of the world, i.e. find the answer to the question
of how it was built, what it is in essence, and study the history of the first creation of the
world, incl. and man as his organic part. This essence of the world, vividly and figuratively
reflected in the Nart epic, is also adopted by the Ossetian philosophical novel, uniquely
using the chronotope as the most important form of existence of matter, i.e. objective
world. What exactly is the innermost essence of the Ossetian philosophical novel? First of
all, in its essential and structural-systemic nature, in its genetic and spiritual origins. In
general, the originality of the Ossetian philosophical novel was manifested in a number of
qualitative properties and criteria. Firstly, it is based on the plot of Nart legends. That is,
its mythological basis is obvious. Secondly, he forms his original concept of chronotope,
which is the basis of the genre structure of the philosophical novel. Thirdly, the concept
of chronotope also builds a specific artistic conflict around which the most important
storylines are organized. Fourthly, a special type of plot is formed in it, encompassing huge
layers of historical time and infinite space. Fifthly, in a philosophical novel an original type
of novel hero is born, with a special view of the world; a type of hero that combines the
richest moral essence of the social history of an ethnos-people-nation.
